Congratulations on completing your degree…So what is next? The world of job hunting can be a daunting place for anyone. If you are new to job searching here is some advice to help you on your way… and find your dream role!

Pop along to our previous blog on CV Hints and Tips to help you get started. Stand out from the crowd by including all your education, extra curricular activities, work experience and a profile about you and what you are seeking.

Do your research in terms of the types of jobs out there. What sort of company do you want to work for? How far are you prepared to travel or relocate for a role? Think about what experience you have gained and how this could benefit a company

Upload your CV to job boards (some popular ones include REED, Total Jobs and Monster) however there are sites, which are specific to certain industries). You want your CV to be noticed, so add all your details on the site. You can also search for jobs and set up email alerts so you know when a new job is added to the site, which is what you are looking for.

Give us a call J There are specialist recruitment agencies out there, like us, who work

within particular industries, including those who work solely with Graduates.

Don’t be afraid to contact companies directly and express your interest in working for them. Employers like the proactive approach. Showing keenness and enthusiasm for their company goes a long way in a job search.

Are you on Linkedin? – This is a great place to connect with people, share industry news and see what companies are doing and if they are hiring.

There are networking events happening all over the country where companies get together to showcase what they do and who they are. We recently visited the KentB2B and met some great people and companies. Also, do you know any friends or family who you could approach about job opportunities?

GOOD LUCK – Give us a call on 01892 263 359 if you need any help – we are happy to help and would love to speak with Graduates looking for jobs within Marketing, PR, Digital or Creative across Kent, Surrey, Sussex and London.
